/18 / John 15:18-27 / Read
What is “the world” as Jesus describes it in this passage?
What does Jesus mean when he tells his followers that they will be hated by the world? If you are a follower of Jesus, how does that make you feel? What might it look like for you to be hated because of your faith in him?
What does Jesus say about himself in vv. 22-25? Why is this significant? Do you believe what he says about himself?
In light of the challenge, opposition and persecution Jesus promised his followers, how do you think they took his command in vv. 27 to testify about him anyway? If you are a follower of Jesus today, how does his command land with you? How is he leading you to testify about him today?
