Avoid the temptation to read through today’s passage quickly. Instead, find a quiet place to reflect deeply on these words from Proverbs 10. Pray for God to guide your understanding and bring to your attention something specific in your life that he wants to address with you.
What word, phrase, imagery, etc. most grabs your attention from this passage? Invite the Lord to help you understand why and record your answer somewhere.
What do you sense God saying to you based on what you identified above? Listen for a word either about his identity or about who he says you are that is consistent with Scripture.
How will you respond to God’s word to you in partnership with him? In other words, how will you live differently in light of hearing from him? Be as specific as possible and, again, record it somewhere or - even better - share it with a trusted friend who will help encourage you in that area.
